Highlights from this month’s list
There’s a few regulars as usual in this month’s list, such as the Premium Economy on the US nonstops. Hong Kong in both Economy and Business feature once again as well. That’s a good option for anyone looking to try the 2017 A380 business class seat.
Business class within Southeast Asia is rather scarce this month, with only Bali and ho Chi Minh on the list. Bali has quite a few blackout dates as well, mostly around the March school holiday in Singapore, so it’s not particularly useful.
One of the more interesting destinations is Business class from Amsterdam at 72,450 miles, though again there’s blackout dates across a large chunk of March. Business class to Brisbane for 47,950 miles appears as well with the overnight SQ255, with a relatively short blackout period from 1-6 March. SQ231 to Sydney in Premium Economy for 35,700 is also on the list, but again has loads of blackout dates. That flight is on the A380 with 44 Premium Economy seats.
Other than these more notable entries, there isn’t really much to get excited. The list of destinations within Southeast Asia, even for Economy, is rather limited this month. That might dash the hopes of families hoping for a quick school holiday getaway.
For me personally, my March is already filled up travel-wise with a longish trip to Japan for cherry blossom season, so there’s nothing on this month’s Spontaneous Escapes list that interests me.

Conclusion
The March 2023 KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes list has been released, and features many of the usual suspects, such as Hong Kong, and premium economy on the US nonstops. There isn’t too much to be excited unfortunately, and unsurprisingly the potential candidate destinations for a March school holiday getaway have blackout dates around the start and end of the holiday period.
