Singapore Airlines has announced an enhancement of its inflight Wi-Fi offerings. As of 1 February, Business Class passengers, PPS Club members and their supplementary card holders can permanently enjoy unlimited inflight Wi-Fi, while KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy classes get time-based surf plans, of 3h and 2h respectively. These enhancements had been rolled out on a trial basis back in August 2022 – selected aircraft initially (most of the Panasonic fleet) before rolled out to all inflight Wi-Fi equipped aircraft in November 2022. Singapore Airlines has now made these enhancements permanent. In addition to the changes in complimentary allowance, the pricing for paid plans has now been made more attractive. These changes apply fleet-wide, with the exception of the 737-800NG which are not equipped with inflight Wi-Fi.

The details

All Business Class passengers, and PPS Club members, plus supplementary card holders, in any class of travel will now enjoy unlimited inflight Wi-Fi on all flights and all aircraft types (minus the 737-800NG of course), permanently. This is an increase over the 100MB previously.

All KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy get a 3h surf plan, while those in Economy will get 2h. This is an enhancement over the time-based text-only “chat” plans KrisFlyer members received before the trial in August 2022. KrisFlyer members travelling in Suites/First and Business classes will of course receive unlimited inflight Wi-Fi as given to all passengers in those classes. The allowance for Suites/First remains unchanged of course, being unlimited Wi-Fi for the entire flight.

With these enhancements, the inflight Wi-Fi allowances can be summarised in the below table:
